MYP eAssessment shortlisted for international award
The IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) eAssessment on-screen examinations have been shortlisted for the international e-Assessment Awards, organised by The e-Assessment Association.
The e-Assessment Awards celebrate the outstanding contributions that technology makes to all forms of assessment and showcases innovation and best practice across the assessment sector.
The MYP eAssessment on-screen examinations have been shortlisted in two categories, Best Transformational Project; which acknowledges projects where technology has positively and genuinely transformed assessment practices; and Best Use of Summative Assessment, which recognises assessment products which bring clearly identifiable benefits to summative assessment.
Gareth Hegarty, eAssessment Transition Senior Manager, says: “The MYP eAssessment on-screen examinations are the result of many years of work across the IB to prepare the curriculum, assessment models and technology, which provide the foundations for the examinations. These nominations recognise the collaborative work as well as the dedication of assessment staff and senior examiners who realise the potential of the innovation to deliver high quality exams and reliable results to schools each session. The success of the examinations has to also be credited to the vision and support of MYP schools who have contributed to the development and are offering the examinations.”
Finalists were shortlisted by an international panel of experts in the field, and the winners will be announced on 18 April at the e-Assessment Conference in London.
