Educators collaborate and share at IberoAmerica Conference in Bogota

The IB’s IberoAmerica Conference Bogota, in Colombia, brought together educational leaders, teachers, and the wider IB community to convene for the first time. Conversations focused on the future of education, implementation of technology, and well-being.

The Universidad de La Sabana de Bogotá welcomed the IB for this year's IberoAmerica Conference. More than 70 breakout sessions and two keynote speeches were conducted entirely in Spanish and Portuguese. Around 500 attendees came from 24 countries including Colombia, Mexico, Brazil, Ecuador, and Chile.

Keynote speeches in Spanish by Roy Harley rose questions about uncertainty in education, while Dr Cristóbal Cobo closed the conference with inspiring conversations about the role of Artificial Intelligence in the classroom.

This conference focused on the special challenges facing IB educators in IberoAmerica. Breakout sessions engaged educators with discussions around educational technology and innovation, inclusive education, well-being, and leadership.
