The International Baccalaureate (IB) and the China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE) signed a memorandum of understanding in Beijing on 30 October 2026, at an evening reception during the 27th China Annual Conference and Expo for International Education (CACIE).
The agreement establishes a framework for the two organizations to explore cooperation in international educational exchange, drawing on their respective experience and networks to support mutual learning and strengthen connections across educational communities in China and worldwide.
The agreement was signed by Olli-Pekka Heinonen, Director General of the IB, and Yang Jun, Secretary-General of CEAIE.
"Education advances when institutions and educators learn from one another," said Olli-Pekka Heinonen. "China has considerable experience in skills-based education, and we see important opportunities for mutual learning. Our agreement with CEAIE creates opportunities for dialogue and collaboration that can strengthen education and help young people develop the knowledge, skills and values they need to thrive in a changing world.”
Under the agreement, the IB and CEAIE intend to explore cooperation in four areas:
- International exchange and cooperation in skills-based education
- International student and talent mobility
- Teacher professional learning and development
- Joint academic activities.
The signed memorandum of understanding underscores a shared commitment between the IB and CEAIE to foster mutual learning and collaboration, strengthen professional and academic links, and explore initiatives that empower educators, enrich school communities and help prepare students to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world.

北京，2026年10月30日——国际文凭组织（IB）与中国教育国际交流协会（CEAIE）在北京举行的第27届中国国际教育年会（CACIE）晚间招待会上签署了谅解备忘录。
该协议为双方探索国际教育交流领域的合作搭建了框架。双方将充分发挥各自在经验和网络资源方面的优势，促进相互学习，并加强中国与全球教育界之间的联系。
国际文凭组织总干事奥利·佩卡·海诺宁（Olli-Pekka Heinonen）与中国教育国际交流协会秘书长杨军共同签署了协议。
