The IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) eAssessment received a 3-star award in the Assessment category of this year’s Teach Secondary Awards. This is the latest achievement for eAssessment, having won 'Best use of summative assessment' in the eAssessment Awards in London, UK, and 'Best assessment solution' at the ScooNews Global Education Awards in Udaipur, India in 2018.
The eAssessment is a key stage in the MYP journey to develop students who are prepared independent, critical thinkers in a digital world.
The Teach Secondary Awards are designed to highlight and celebrate the very best resources available for secondary schools, with winners selected by a panel of experts including teaching school leaders, training providers and education specialists.
The MYP eAssessment was introduced in 2016 and pushes students well beyond the rote memorization of subject-specific content—75% focuses on inquiry, communication and critical thinking skills. MYP eAssessment includes on-screen examinations with interactive tools and multimedia.
