The Vocational Training Center La Otra FP – PRO2 in Madrid has received authorization to offer the Career-related Programme (CP). This becomes the first IB vocational training center in Spain that offers this programme, providing Spanish students the opportunity to develop skills and competencies required for lifelong learning.
The CP is already present in 406 schools worldwide of which 33 are in the Iberoamerican region, including 3 schools in Spain. The authorization of this new standalone CP demonstrates a demand for more career-focused education in Spain.
The CP offers young people a pathway that combines the academic rigor of the Diploma Programme (DP) with practical experience. The CP prepares young learners for vocational learning, higher education, or the workplace.
Currently, the IB collaborates with organizations such as the Universidad Popular Autónoma del Estado de Puebla, Microsoft Corporation, Pearson, and the World Academy of Sport to strengthen its CP offering and ensure that IB World Schools in Iberoamerica equip students with the vocational skills needed for the future.
