Workshop delivery options

Last updated:

The IB offers a variety of options for educators to attend professional development workshops. We aim to better accommodate the diverse learning and logistical needs of both educators and schools, especially as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact the education community worldwide.

Our workshops are delivered through four different methods: face-to-face, online, virtual and a “blended” method combining remote and face-to-face learning. The availability of these four delivery options varies across workshops and regions. You can see detailed information in our latest IB Workshops and Services Catalogue.

Request a workshop

The IB delivers professional development workshops to groups of educators from one or more schools upon request.

Any current IB World School, candidate or interested school can submit a workshop request for a minimum of seven participants. Schools can choose their preferred workshop delivery option and select their own preferred dates.

These workshops provide rich learning experiences designed to meet the specific needs of educators at your school or group of schools in your area.

Information regarding PD requirements for IB World Schools under evaluation can be found here.

Information regarding PD requirements for authorization can be found here.

Attend a workshop at scheduled events

Every year, the IB schedules and organizes a wide range of professional development workshops to strengthen individual teaching practice and professional learning communities. Programme coordinators may  register their teachers for these workshops.

Individual educators can participate in any of these workshops in a face-to-face, online, and virtual learning environment.
