Last updated:

Nazaret Global Education is a non-profit founded by the Missionary Daughters of the Holy Family of Nazareth. Its global Innovative Schools Network has 36 schools across 9 countries. Founded in 1926, Montserrat School in Barcelona, Spain, has offered the IB Diploma Programme (DP) since 2012. In 2022, they were granted permission to introduce the Middle Years Programme (MYP) programme as well.

Nazaret Global Education’s "OnWorld" proposal emphasizes their commitment to innovating, piloting, iterating and consistently improving their methods to prepare students to be fulfilled, happy and ready for an ever-changing world. OnWorld is the birthplace of the OnWorld IB School associated with Montserrat School in Barcelona as a brick-and-mortar school, but also using all the 36 centres in the network, adhering to the IB standards to take the November and May exams.

OnWorld Online’s mission is to become a school of reference in Spanish-speaking countries as a provider of quality, global IB education which could be extended to more places in the future. The OnWorld IB School will offer a full DP with at least 10 subjects and the entire DP core. This is the first full Diploma Programme in Spanish.

Montserrat School in Barcelona is one of the most relevant schools in the network, consistently topping the national school rankings, and serving as a “testing lab” for new methods, and as proof of evidence of Nazaret’s success. The school has embraced blended/remote learning for many years, applying a number of tools and technologies to address diverse learning needs. The challenges posed by the pandemic prompted the school to test full online methodologies, identifying opportunities to make the IB accessible to all.
