Aoba-Japan International School (Aoba)

Last updated:

Founded in 1976, Aoba-Japan International School (Aoba) is a secular, private international school based out of Tokyo, Japan serving a diverse student body of over 700 students and 30 different nationalities. An IB Continuum and IB World School, Aoba is authorized to deliver the IB Primary Years (PYP), Middle Years (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP) across its three Tokyo campuses.

Aoba’s core philosophy is that students should reach their full potential as international citizens who are dedicated to learning and who are inspired to succeed in an ever-changing world.

The Aoba Online DP pilot programme will be delivered by qualified IB teachers using inquiry-based learning frameworks in order to challenge, engage, and connect students with each other and the world.

The Aoba Online DP leverages cutting edge learning technologies and modern education approaches to deliver an experience that is built around how today’s high school students communicate, collaborate, and learn in a hyperconnected world.
