The IB is constantly striving to innovate and improve its curriculums and assessments. One example of this is the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) eAssessment, introduced in 2016, which includes on-screen examinations with interactive tools and multimedia.
The MYP eAssessment challenges students to think critically and independently while solving real-world problems using a broad range of knowledge and skills.
It is a reliable, globally consistent assessment that supports best MYP teaching practice, and focusses students to consolidate and demonstrate their achievements. Students receive quality-assured, globally-recognized qualifications.
In April 2018, the MYP eAssessment was awarded an international education award at the e-Assessment Awards in London, UK. The e-Assessment Awards acknowledge the outstanding contributions that technology makes to all forms of assessment, and showcase innovation and best practice across the assessment sector. The IB eAssessment was awarded Best Use of Summative Assessment and was highly commended for Best Transformational Project.
In August 2018, the service was also awarded the Best Assessment Solution award at the ScooNews Global Education Awards held in Udaipur, India.
