The IB has always benefited from working with organizations and institutions that share the values expressed in our mission statement.
Our longest and most widespread partnership is with the almost 6,000 IB World Schools around the globe.
The IB works in partnership with governments around the world in a variety of ways, from supporting the implementation of the three IB programmes in state school systems to providing ongoing assistance and general consultation on educational reform.
The IB also works with organizations that have:
- missions, mandates, and values consistent with those of the IB
- the appropriate professional expertise, credibility, and capacity for outreach
- the appropriate technical and professional expertise to support innovation
Depending on specific roles, scope, and legal status, the cooperation can take the form of a fee for service, provision of expertise or technical support, alliances, partnership organizations, networks, consortia, and coalition.
