eAssessment demos

Last updated:

MYP eAssessment is a reliable, globally consistent and highly innovative assessment model for recognizing the academic achievement of students in the final year of the MYP that goes beyond traditional examinations.

MYP individuals and societies

The MYP individuals and societies subject group incorporates disciplines traditionally studied under humanities and social sciences. This subject group encourages learners to respect and understand the world around them, and equips them with the necessary skills to inquire into historical, geographical, political, social, economic, and cultural factors that affect individuals, societies and environments.
MYP on-screen examinations in Individuals and Societies are offered in geography, history and integrated humanities.

MYP Interdisciplinary learning

In the MYP, interdisciplinary learning is the process by which students come to understand bodies of knowledge and modes of thinking from two or more disciplines and then integrate them to create a new understanding. Students demonstrate this by bringing together concepts, methods or forms of communication to explain a phenomenon, solve a problem, create a product or to raise a new question in ways that would have been unlikely through a single discipline. The interdisciplinary learning on-screen examination is based around an exploration of a global context chosen for each assessment session through the disciplinary and interdisciplinary lenses of two of the following subject groups:

  • language and literature
  • individuals and societies
  • sciences
  • mathematics

MYP language and literature

MYP language and literature courses equip students with linguistic, analytical and communicative skills that help to develop interdisciplinary understanding. Students develop skills in six domains—listening, speaking, reading, writing, viewing and presenting. MYP on-screen examinations are offered in English, Spanish, French, German, Dutch, Arabic, Chinese, Korean and Chinese (traditional or simplified).

MYP Mathematics

The MYP mathematics and extended mathematics courses promote both inquiry and application, helping students to develop problem-solving techniques that transcend the discipline and are useful in the world outside of school. MYP on-screen examinations are offered in mathematics and extended mathematics.

MYP Science

The MYP sciences courses explore the connection between science and everyday life. As they investigate authentic examples of science applications, students discover the dependencies and tensions between evidence-based scientific understandings and morality, ethics, culture, economics, politics, and the environment.
MYP on-screen examinations are offered in biology, chemistry, physics, integrated sciences.
