IB Community Inspiration Award

People and communities build and shape the IB. We want to recognize those who show up every day, connect and build bridges—those who inspire us. The IB Community Inspiration Award is dedicated to individuals who make impactful contributions to their communities.

The power of the IB resides in our community

We are always inspired by our IB community members and their incredible local and global contributions and impact. Now we want to formally recognize and celebrate individuals through the newly launched IB Community Inspiration Award—and we need you to nominate award recipients!

The first Community Inspiration Award winners can be found here. In the Americas, Harold Molina Venegas, Diploma Programme (DP) Coordinator at Yorkín School (ADEC) in Costa Rica, received the award for strengthening IB connections nationally and internationally.

From 2026 onwards, we will select three IB Community Inspiration Award recipients each year, representing our three regions: Asia-Pacific, the Americas and Africa, Europe and the Middle East.
