AEM regional conference

The 2016 Africa, Europe Middle-East (AEM) regional conference will take place from 6 – 8 October 2016, in Barcelona.  We invite you to propose a paper to give at the conference, on the theme 'learning together’.

There will be close to 100 breakout sessions offered during the three days. Sessions may include presentations of conceptual models, professional applications, scholarly analyses, skill-building programs, and case studies. 

All session presenters are required to pay the full conference registration fee. 
Registration will open in March 2016.

Selection criteria

The review committee will review all presentation submissions using a set of criteria, which include the relevance to the theme of the conference. Other important criteria include: the presenter’s experience in the classroom; using one of the IB official languages; and the potential to provide interactive engagement with the audience.

As part of their review, the committee will also consider the relevance of the proposal to one of the conference's strands. 

Presentations should not have any commercial purpose.
