Facts about the region

As of April 2016, International Baccalaureate® (IB) programmes are being taught in 90 countries, across 992 schools in Africa, Europe and the Middle East.

Schools may teach more than one IB programme, of which:

  • 278 offer the Primary Years Programme (PYP)
  • 224 offer the Middle Years Programme (MYP)
  • 862 offer the Diploma Programme (DP)
  • 31 offer the Career-related Programme (CP).
