Finance and investments pathway package for CP students
The IB has launched a new initiative for students aged 16 -18 years who want to gain academic and practical experience in the finance sector in their final two years of education.
Each employment vacancy in the finance sector receives, on average, 135 applications. The collaboration between IB and CISI offers CP graduates an opportunity to stand out from the crowd, by forging direct links to CISI member companies such as Morgan Stanley, Barclays, BNP Paribas and HSBC, the majority of which offer apprenticeship programmes for CP graduates.
The new finance and investments pathway package includes the career-related qualification (common in all CP pathways) by way of the CISI Diploma in Finance, Risk and Investment; the IB DP mathematics (standard level), IT in a global society (standard or higher level), and a humanities subject (standard or higher level); plus the CP core. The industry-focused package enables students to achieve a maximum of 200 revised UCAS points while also gaining valuable personal and interpersonal skills, helping CP students to secure university places, apprenticeships or employment in the finance industry.
If you are an educator and would like to find out more about the package, or a professional body interested in partnering with the IB to offer a different industry pathway package, please get in touch.
