Description

We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, enthusiastic graduate full-time from January 2013 to teach Mathematics across all age groups (11-18) in an experienced and successful department. The school teaches iGCSE and the International Baccalaureate Diploma.

King Edward’s School is one of the leading academic schools in the country and the IBDP was introduced in 2010 to completely replace A Levels. Over 110 students in each year of the Diploma Programme study Maths, including Further Maths for the very best. There is also a flourishing Mathematics Society and involvement in Olympiads. Many students go on to study Mathematics and/or Engineering at Oxford, Cambridge and other top universities every year.

Staff at the school are expected to make a contribution to extra-curricular activities and the wider school life.

Applications should be made on the school form, with a letter of application, and the names and addresses of two referees, not later than Monday 14 May to Mr John Claughton, Chief Master, King Edward's School, Edgbaston Park Road, Birmingham B15 2UA United Kingdom. Further details about the post may be obtained from the Chief Master's PA, +44 (0)121 472 1672 or office@kes.org.uk. Information on the school is available on the website, www.kes.org.uk
