What is academic honesty?

Academic honesty in the IB is a set of values and behaviours informed by attributes of the learner profile.

The principle of academic honesty serves to promote personal integrity, engender respect for the work of others and ensures that all students have an equal opportunity to demonstrate the knowledge and skills they acquire during their studies.

All members of the IB community must strive to be “principled”, acting with “integrity and honesty, with a strong sense of fairness, justice and respect for the individual, groups and communities”.

We created the academic honesty competition with these principles in mind.
