International Baccalaureate® staff testimonials

Gregory Biggs“The IB sits at the pinnacle of international education and stands for a mission which I personally agree with. To join the IB meant taking a step forward with my career at the same time as joining a clearly mission driven organization. In the role of Product Manager, I work in a cross-departmental function across the organization, enabling the IB to support schools, teachers and students with leading educational programmes. Understanding the global potential of the organization and seeing the impact of the education that the IB provides is a truly rewarding experience and the best aspect of working for the IB.”

Gregory Biggs - Product Manager (Singapore)

Matthew White“I joined the IB, in a new role, in a new team. I am working with colleagues to build a digital strategy that will help support teaching and learning until 2020 and beyond. The passion that colleagues have for education is undoubtedly the best aspect of the IB, alongside the diverse workforce. It is a really enriching experience to work with people from around the globe”

Matthew White - Business Development Manager E-learning (The Hague)

Riziero Pisani“I joined the IB because I wanted to be part of this global organization that so strongly believes in helping young people get the benefits of an international education, which I believe will contribute to developing them into global citizens. The core of my current role as Governance Events Coordinator, is to manage all organizational and logistical aspects of the Governance IB Board meetings anywhere in the world. What I really appreciate at the IB is the philosophy, values and energy that are shared by all staff members, and all of this in a truly global organization.”

Riziero Pisani – Governance Events Coordinator (Geneva)

Andrew Atkinson“I have been working with the IB programmes for twenty years of which the last four have been as a staff member of the IB organization...I love the fact that we have multiple programmes, and that we have schools that teach students the IB from the age of 3 to 18. That an IB experience can run for 15 years in a child’s life is amazing. I am proud of our mission. The IB has a noble mission to change the world. I am proud to say that we strive to live by our IB beliefs and values. I like working around people with common values close to my own”.

Andrew Atkinson - School Services Director (Bethesda)

Stefanie Leong, Head of Development Asia Pacific"... I joined the IB because I wanted to be part of a global organization that firmly believes that through education we can create a better world for the next generations and be part of a team that actively engages with educators and students...."

Stefanie Leong - Head of Development (Singapore)

"The IB learner profile truly represents a broad range of human capacities and responsibilities, and with this embedded in the IB programmes, students can become active compassionate, life-long learners."

"The IB provides opportunities for the individual to grow within the job and also to grow personally. I was attracted to the IB because the focus goes beyond educational programmes and certificates; the organization is motivated by a mission to create a better world through education"

Jae Pak, Director eServices"... I joined the IB because I wanted to be a part of a truly global international organization that has aspirations to be a leader in what it does..."

Jae Pak - Director eServices (Bethesda)

"Having been here six months, I can see that the organization is promoting accountability and innovation, and empowers staff to bring new ideas and initiatives to the table. I like that a lot!"

"I love the fact that the IB has such passion for the mission at every level. The IB really places our external stakeholders needs front and centre and uses them to apply the litmus test on practically everything we do. It really helps to bring clarity on what you should be doing and why you are doing it."
