ICT Programme Manager Ref 197

Salary: c.£36,000

Based in the ICT directorate at the IB Cardiff office, this new post will manage the conception and delivery of a programme of change to achieve business benefits within the required benefits profile. This post will also work with the project support office to develop a programme management framework within the IB to facilitate the implementation of significant business change.

Educated to degree level or equivalent, you will have professional accreditation in programme and project management, and in-depth knowledge and experience of all of the main programme and project management concepts, tools and techniques.

With a proven track record in managing programmes and large complex projects, you will have the ability to address both the technical and the business requirements in solving a problem, and to provide a link between these two functions.  To do this, you will need excellent communication skills and be able to challenge views and offer advice and guidance at all levels within the organization including executive level. You will be expected to lead cross-functional teams and manage your resources appropriately. There is also a requirement for excellent interpersonal, negotiation and problem-solving skills combined with a good awareness of trends and directions in technology.  Previous experience of working within the education sector may also be advantageous.

Occasional weekend working and some international travel may be necessary.
