Fixed-term contract (maternity cover) JUNE 2006 – JANUARY 2007

Salary: £15, 768 per year

The examinations administration department has the above post available, requiring a high degree of personal initiative, good organizational and interpersonal skills, attention to detail and a willingness to manage and prioritize a diverse workload with the minimum of supervision. The work involves handling confidential information and can be very intensive. Occasional weekend working is essential, especially in May, June and December. For this post you will be educated to IB Diploma, A-level standard or equivalent, with an excellent standard of both written and spoken English. A good level of ICT skills is essential.

Based in coordinator help desk within the examinations administration department, the post carries responsibility for advising schools on the administration of the Diploma Programme, implementing standard procedures, responding to enquiries from schools, using databases, word processing and bespoke software. The post requires excellent customer service skills and therefore previous experience of working within a customer service environment is required.

Working hours require on call cover out of normal office hours during May and November. Knowledge of French or Spanish would be an advantage. You will be a good communicator and attentive to detail.
