The NH Berlin Alexanderplatz hotel is in a peaceful corner of the city called Friedrichshain – Berlin’s hip, artists’ district. Just next door there’s a pretty park, and down the road, a handful of coffee shops and beer gardens. The hotel is 3 tram stops from Alexanderplatz square. The hotel is full of quirky details – like the 35,000 bees kept on the roof, which happily produce honey for your breakfast.
The Sky Team airlines are pleased to be appointed as the Official Airline Network for this IB Event. To obtain SKy Team rates please click here.
Average weather in December: 1 Centigrade OR 34 Fahrenheit
Getting there by plane:
Berlin Tegel Airport is the main international airport of Berlin, the federal capital of Germany, ahead of the smaller Berlin Schönefeld Airport.
Berlin’s efficient public transportation system is affordable, straightforward, usually punctual and very comprehensive. Trains run on the honor system and there are no ticket barriers to use the U-Bahn, S-Bahn, trams or regional trains. On buses, you need to show your ticket to the driver and enter through the front door. Plain clothes controllers patrol all public transportation, so make sure to validate tickets before boarding.
