IB staff
As a member of staff at the International Baccalaureate (IB) you are part of a worldwide community of over 300 employees, situated in several regions spanning the globe.
Although our headquarters are based in Geneva, Switzerland, there are a total of 12 IB offices positioned around the world.
Our curriculum, assessment, business, finance and publications departments are all based in the UK in our Cardiff office while our research activities are based at the University of Bath.
The operations of the three programmes are conducted from four regional offices.
- Africa/Europe/Middle East, Geneva, Switzerland
- Asia-Pacific, Republic of Singapore
- Latin America, Buenos Aires, Argentina
- North America and the Caribbean, New York, United States
Due to the global nature of the IB it is important that we are kept informed and updated on news and information from all around the organization. We have our staff newsletter, Bac Chat, and the staff intranet to make sure we stay well connected.
IB staff newsletter
Bac Chat is our monthly staff newsletter emailed to all staff worldwide. It provides staff with a greater knowledge of the activities and initiatives that take place across the IB. The communications team based in the Cardiff office is keen to hear any news and information from your particular region or department. You can email them via communications@ibo.org.
Let us know your views
This is your corner of the IB website. We will be making frequent updates and improvements in order to provide you with information and links to the most useful areas of the site. Why not contact us with your suggestions on how we can improve your pages?
Staff intranet
The staff intranet is the secure website for all IB staff members. You receive your own tailor-made log-in details when you join the organization, giving you access to all the information you require.
Areas open to all staff include our staff internal telephone list, the security information centre (with updates on travel risks), departmental web pages that describe the roles of individual departments and the policies and procedures section.
