Carrollwood Day School is a non-sectarian, co-educational, independent day school serving students from preschool through high school. Founded as a preschool in 1981, Carrollwood Day School (CDS) now has an enrollment of over 800 students from 2-years-old through 12th grade and is an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, the first school in Florida and sixth in the United States to be authorized to offer all three levels of the IB Programme - from preschool through high school.

CDS just completed the first, and most ambitious, phase of its master plan. That phase included the construction of a new, state-of-the-art elementary school, the development of entirely new high school classrooms within an existing structure, and the addition of a cutting edge theater and auditorium.

Beyond a rigorous academic environment, CDS students are actively involved in interscholastic athletics, the visual and performing arts, community service and a wide variety of extracurricular activities that enhance their overall educational experience.

CDS’s combination of academics, extracurricular activities and character education underlies its mission to “integrate a challenging academic experience with a strong character education initiative to prepare lifelong learners equipped to succeed in an ever-changing world."
