United World Colleges (UWCs) around the world offer a two-year, pre-university education to students who are selected on the basis of their personal merit.
A major scholarship programme, funded in part by the colleges and in part by a network of UWC national committees supported by alumni in over 140 countries around the world, makes this possible. Most students in the seven colleges attend on the basis of considerable, and in many cases full, scholarship support.
