The international education research database was initiated by IB Research Unit in 2002. This is a collaborative effort by a range of different parties interested in promoting international education.

The database has been assembled using a wide range of resources and methods. It is a referencing resource, rather than an online library, and does not hold the actual publications. This exciting and challenging project aims to:

  1. define the field of international education
  2. offer a valuable resource to a range of researchers.

Picture of a person using a computerThe database is updated regularly. It currently holds more than 4,700 references and is accessed by researchers throughout the world. Future plans include restructuring the database as it expands, in order to make browsing and searching even easier and more straightforward.

You may wish to contribute to the continuing growth of the database by sending us your feedback. We welcome citations (in any language) to add to the database, which we are continually updating. If you would like to send us citations, please contact the database administrators. Please refer to the provisional list of rules below concerning what the database currently includes/excludes.
