A networking group for TOK teaching research
After a networking group for TOK teaching research among the IBDP six teaching groups in China was set up in April 2007, Chen Zhen, Tianjin Experimental High School, who is the leader of the group has set up the first, though small, website for the TOK teachers in China as a forum for them to exchange ideas.
Ten teachers have now visited the website and have exchanged ideas on case studies for TOK. Hopefully this small but promising start would contribute greatly to TOK’s development in China in the near future.
MYP school activities
The MYP schools of IBSCM in the northern area conducted workshops for new MYP teachers at Western Academy of Beijing from 24 - 25 August 2007. That is very helpful for the schools in their new staff’s orientation.
Beijing City International School organized a workshop for MYP coordinators on 31 August in the region. We are looking forward to more exchanges among teachers in the coming school year.
