New workshop announced in collaboration with the Ellen MacArthur Foundation

The online workshop, produced by the IB and the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, explores the meaning of a 'sustainable' future through social, environmental, and economic viewpoints

The IB’s partnership with the Ellen MacArthur Foundation enables the IB to bring this online workshop to the global community for the first time.

Exploring a 'sustainable' future: Concepts, principles and practices across disciplinary boundaries is designed for IB educators of the Diploma (DP) and Career-related (CP) Programmes, and will be offered (English only) 22 November - 20 December 2017. The workshop takes a broad conceptual look at issues surrounding sustainable development goals and the meaning of the circular economy. Participants will explore sustainability as a way to develop classroom or whole-school approaches to global or local issues. Four online modules support this transdisciplinary approach, to be worked through independently or alongside other workshop participants.

Participants must register before 31 October 2017.
