DP prepares students for global universities

"There was the understanding that doing IB gave you a leg up in applying to good universities and getting scholarships," says Veronica, who now studies creative writing at the University of British Columbia in Canada.
Thyra Briggs, vice president for admission and financial aid at Harvey Mudd College in California, shares her views: "We are huge fans of the International Baccalaureate program. The DP prepares students to study across the globe and can also give access to university scholarships specifically offered for IB graduates - a great benefit for prospective international students.
Liz Hunt, admissions manager at the University of Sheffield, UK, says that her school highly values applicants with an IB diploma.
