IB Asia-Pacific Teacher's Convention 2006

"Global Languages"

The inaugural IB Asia-Pacific Teachers’ Convention was held at the Suntec Convention Centre in Singapore, 8–10 April 2006, on the theme of “Global Language”. Singapore is a crossroad of diverse cultures and languages, so it was the ideal venue for the examination of important language issues such as mother tongue maintenance, language learning and additive/subtractive bilingualism.

Many of the keynote speakers and presenters have taken the time to submit copies of their PowerPoint presentations and notes. For your information, these documents are available on this page. They may be downloaded for your future reference and ongoing professional development.
