An opportunity has arisen within our development team within the information and communication technology department to deliver a range of world-class web platforms for effective online professional development and support.
An experienced web developer is required to work closely with the online professional learning services department to create and build upon a number of web platforms aimed specifically at supporting a community of more than 75,000 teachers worldwide.
With a passionate interest in technology, and strong communication skills, you will have business experience of all aspects of the web, and rich internet application development processes including analysis, design, development and testing. Experience in technical writing, instructional design, and the design of flexible learning environments is also required. Object oriented programming in an MVC context is essential, with experience in ColdFusion or other server side web development languages. Advanced Oracle database design and development is required, particularly in an ORM context. You will have knowledge of media file editing and manipulation and you will be familiar with encoding media for the web and mobile environments using Flash Video, Flash Media Server, and other appropriate technologies.
