Principal Examiner

The Principal Examiner is responsible for the development and delivery of assessments within their discipline within the Middle Years Programme (MYP).

MYP Principal Examiners are closely involved in:

  • developing unit plans and on-screen examinations (as appropriate)
  • examiner training
  • marking/moderating candidates’ work
  • standardizing examiners’ work
  • assisting in determining the final grades of candidates.

They also work closely with the chief examiner for their discipline, ensuring parity across disciplines.
