Volunteers
A small group of visionary volunteers founded the International Baccalaureate® in 1968, motivated by a desire to “create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect”. Still today volunteers from around the world dedicate their time and talents to achieving our mission.
If you would like to become involved in making the IB mission a reality, please consider taking advantage of the many volunteer opportunities available worldwide. You will work alongside professional IB staff in designing and delivering the essential services that make IB programmes work in classrooms around the world.
IB volunteers become involved throughout the organization—from governance level and programme development to supporting schools, providing workshops and working on university recognition.
For more information on IB volunteer opportunities in your region, please contact the following regional offices.
