The Diploma Programme

In the Asia Pacific region, there are 286 IB World Schools in 27 countries offering the Diploma Programme.

New and interested schools

We welcome your interest in the International Baccalaureate (IB) and look forward to working with you as you seek to implement the Diploma Programme in your school.

The following outlines the path to becoming an IB World School.

The IB Asia Pacific office is responsible for guiding schools in understanding the standards, principles and practices of the Diploma Programme and in implementing the programme. Any request for information or guidance should be directed to the IB Asia Pacific office.

Please read the information in the following link before proceeding further: Essential information [PDF].

Further key information for interested schools is available on the school authorisation page and all the documentation for the process is available on the "Become an IB World School" page.

Schools interested in implementing the programme should complete an Interested School Form (Intent to Apply) as an indication that the school is commencing its feasibility study. There are no costs associated with this form.  Please send the completed form to ibapdp@ibo.org.
