Level 3 type workshops in November

IBAEM has been working with IBA to put on some exciting workshops for more experienced IB practitioners in Instanbul.

Examples of such workshops include a workshop on Extended essays, another on linking CAS to TOK, also Programme evaluation, International Mindedness across the DP hexagon and many more!

We will be giving you more on this by the end of the month of April/beginning of May.

Comments from our participants having attended face to face workshops:

Which Sessions did you find most useful?

  • How to plan for the units - very helpful lesson plans for the central idea, summative assessment etc and what should be done first, second and so on. (PYP)
  • The sessions where we completed practical tasks allowing us to prepare materials to take back to our own school. (..)Truly a wonderful tasks to do with someone else from another school. (MYP)
  • All of them, although more time was needed to allow discussions of concerns and worries, especially for those who had not taught it before. Lots of new ideas/methods were given to us and there wasn't enough time to digest it all and discuss it with fellow 'students'. (DP)
  • This was my 1st out of school workshop and I found the all of the sessions useful. (PYP)
  • Every session was helpful in its own way. It was very beneficial to have time to collaborate and plan with the others in my group. (MYP)
  • I thought the assessment session was fantastic, as well as the workbook session. The open presentation session on the final day was excellent and very inspiring to see the work of teachers, their students and ideas for books and resources, etc. (DP)
