Transcript requests

To order transcripts from the International Baccalaureate, please follow the directions below.

How to order a transcript when applying to universities in Canada and/or the United States

Transcripts may be ordered by mail only
To order by mail, complete the International Baccalaureate Transcript Request Form for Universities in Canada and/or the US, available for download here.

Within three months of an exam session, we will send transcripts free of charge for up to three universities, one of which may be a US institution. Requests must be received by 15 September (for the May exam session) or by 15 March (for the November exam session).

For transcript requests submitted after the three-month deadline, there is a processing fee. Please see the “cost” section below.

Cost
Students may request up to three universities (one of which may be a US institution) free of charge within the first three months after an exam session. After that time period or for additional transcripts, the cost is US$13 or CA$15 per transcript request*. Please include a check or money order made payable to “International Baccalaureate Organization” at the address above.

Expedited service
Transcript requests received with an additional payment of US/CA$35 (for US institutions) or US/CA$40 (for Canadian institutions)* may be sent to a university by courier, providing the university is not on the electronic transcripts list. Please provide a separate check or money order if expedited courier service is required.

Please note: When contacting the transcript officer, please include the following:

• Your full name as it appears on your IB diploma or certificate
• Full name of your high school and its location (city, state, country)
• Date when exam was taken (May or November and year)
• Date of birth
• Session code or personal code (if available)
• Full name of the university you are inquiring about
