
Visual arts assistant examiners
Visual Arts examiners are required for two different types of examining for the May 2009 examination session:
- To moderate research workbooks. (No travel is required for this)
- To visit schools to examine studio work and/or research workbooks (any travel/accommodation expenses will be reimbursed) in all regions, including the following countries:
IB North America & IB Latin America
the Caribbean Mexico
United States
(esp. California)
IB Asia-Pacific IB Africa, Europe &
China Middle East
Thailand Africa
New Zealand France (including Paris)
Poland
Russia
Finland
Applicants must have an appropriate qualification in art (at least at degree level or equivalent) and have several years' relevant subject teaching experience with, preferably, 16-18 year olds.
Applicants are also expected to have had examining experience of some kind, and to be practising in their art. Access to the Internet and an email account are essential, as is the ability to examine fluently in English, Spanish or French. There will be no interviews, however references will be obtained.
