Recognition of IB diploma for admission to universities and colleges

MINISTERIAL RESOLUTIONS FOR PARTICIPATING SCHOOLS IN THE COUNTRY. Agreement 91 approved by the Secretariat for State Education in January 1983 allows the use of the IB programme in private and state schools in the country. Authorised schools may plan their IB programme freely in the two final years of the Mexican system but must include any subject not previously taken in their 10th. year. MINISTERIAL RESOLUTION FOR IB GRADUATES FROM OVERSEAS. An IB diploma obtained overseas is recognised as equivalent to a Mexican high school diploma, but a legalised diploma must be presented and examinations passed in 10th grade subjects if not previously taken (Agreement 91/83 issued by the Scretariat for State Education - SEP). Procedure for the legalisation of an IB diploma in Spanish: I. Public Notary in Geneva II. State Chancery in Geneva III. Mexican Consulate in Switzerland A photocopy of Agreement 91 as published in the Official Gazette of 26 January 1983 must be enclosed with the diploma together with a certificate showing satisfactory completion of the 10th. grade in the Mexican system or the revalidation of courses taken abroad at this level. This documentation must be presented no later than 31 of July in the year in which university entry is sought.
